Mewboard for Claude

Let Claude read and update your Mewboard projects, issues, comments and files, under your own name.

What it is

Mewboard is a self-hosted issue tracker for people and AI agents: projects, issues, a kanban board, milestones, comments and file attachments. This connector gives Claude the same access you have in the web app, so you can ask things like "What is in progress in project WEB?", "Create an issue for the login bug and attach this screenshot" or "Read MB-12 with all its comments and files and summarise it".

Connect it in Claude

In Claude open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Name: Mewboard. Server URL: https://your-mewboard-host/mcp (for the hosted service: https://app.mewboard.com/mcp).
Choose Connect. A Mewboard window opens: sign in with your Mewboard account and press Allow.

With Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http mewboard https://your-mewboard-host/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and authenticate. Scripts and agents without a browser can use a personal token instead: create one under Account & tokens in Mewboard and send it as Authorization: Bearer mb_….

What Claude can do

Every tool carries a title and read-only / destructive hints, so Claude can ask before it changes or deletes anything.

Access and attribution

Claude acts as you, with your role: admin and member can read and change issues, viewer is read-only.
Everything Claude creates or moves is recorded under your name, and teammates see it live on the board.
Access tokens last one hour and are renewed automatically; a connection ends after 60 days without use.

Disconnect

In Mewboard open Account & tokens: each connected application is listed as Connector: Claude. Revoke ends it immediately. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings.

Troubleshooting

"Couldn't reach the MCP server" – check the URL ends with /mcp and is reachable over HTTPS.
Sign-in window says "Can't connect" – start the connection again from Claude; the link is single-use and expires after ten minutes.
Claude can read but not change anything – your Mewboard account has the viewer role; ask an administrator.
